(154 posts)Letting others do the heavy lifting insulates him, politically. He was more interested in his job, than the jobs of trained military being rejected, including pilots we spent millions training, for something as stupid as their sexual orientation.
And of course, despite Jesus Christ approval, post Nov '08, and a landslide Electoral College win, giving him the House and a Super Majority Senate, instead of a first 100 days to rival LBJ, he spent more time elevating Geithner and sidelining liberal economists, to give Wall Street a bailout with ZERO strings attached, and failed to do a modicum of the stuff our overwhelming support mandated, unambiguously, giving him carte blanche to do immediately all that he promised, and then some.
History will remember it as perhaps the most-squandered opportunity in our country's history.
And as one who votes for progressive ideals (POLICY!) and not some center-right schmuck in liberal drag (Obama), suffice it to say, I am utterly disgusted with President Obama, and yearn for an actual progressive to be elected in 2016 -- and Obama can go hog wild filling his library with Freidman-esque, supply-side, laissez-faire nonsense books, or pound nails for Habitat, or fish off a damn pier. I do not care which.
