IMO she did have some information about Russia but never got to it - it would have been better not to double down on the idea that the Russians were helpless and just move on. She got bogged down in trying to argue that the Russians couldn't do anything.

The Russians could have sent him back to the US. What was she going on with about the death penalty? LOD knew more about that than she did, that the Russian propaganda is saying that the death penalty is on the table.

The statement from that Russian official is pretty much infuriating. They are really going to claim they aren't involved? They don't seem to control who comes into their country via even the airport. They could have deported Snowden to the US for not having a visa right away.
