Civil disobediance means that you tried working within the system first. That you did everything that you could do legally first because you actually believe in law and society.

However, that does not mean law and society is always right. Once you have exhausted all other peaceful and lawful means you then resort to disobedience. It is a last resort and you accept the consequences that go along with doing it.

If its truly worth fighting for, then its worth going through the proper steps and accepting the consequences of your action.

That is my view.
