(36,925 posts)For the most progressive members of congress, the majority voted FOR the payroll tax holiday. For the ones who voted against it, many (if not most) cited funding as their reasons, not anything to do with "defending social security". So why do you think progressive members of congress like Barney Frank and Dennis Kucinich voted for this if it is so detrimental so SS as you claim?
