37. Supported Dean in '04.

Well aware he's not far left on many issues. But he's straightforward. You don't have to guess where he stands. And he'll call the Republicans on their bs. And he stood against the Iraq war before it was "safe" to do so. Don't agree with him on everything, but I trust his judgement even when I disagree. If he runs again, I'm so totally on board. My experience on the Dean campaign was incredible. And only part of that was the candidate. Much was the community we found- that knowledge that we weren't alone and weren't crazy (remember how rare that was in '03, '04?) I made lifelong friends. It was important and transformative- personally and politically. And ya know what? To this day, I still, often, find myself saying "Dean was right! *We* were right!"
