6. I'm still halfway thinking that it's intentional.

Early on in this process I looked at the candidates and thought they were all jokes. My guess at the time was that they were straw men, meant to be cut down and, in that process, fatigue the GOPs opponents and all voters to the point that, when they introduce their REAL intended candidate, that people just wouldn't give enough of an F to fight against the GOP's chosen one.

But this process has gone on long enough that I changed my mind, and decided that the GOP was intentionally throwing this election. My figuring was that our national situation is still so FUBARed that the GOP still doesn't want to be responsible for trying to fix it.

However, just recently, they guy I originally thought would be brought forward as the GOPs real candidate was reported to have made a quiet, rational statement regarding the Republican primaries and what the mess all the candidates are. It was just the kind of back pocket little probe I'd expect from a certain campaign manager, a feeler to see if the time is right to spring a surprise.

So I'm back to expecting, any day now, a dark horse GOP candidate to emerge in a way that totally blasts apart what at this time is the expected primaries process, and which will be such big news that it will drown out attempts to criticize this new candidate. You will be horrified when he appears (rightly so, in my opinion) and considering their choices, Republicans will flock around him like paparazzi around a drunken diva.
