Your best chances for getting stiffed were in low-income black neighborhoods and houses with marble driveways. Also kids home alone were always 100% sure to ask for all the change from the $20 their parents left them to order a $7 pizza with. One trick the low class white folks often used was sending their 4 year old to the door with the money. They knew they were supposed to tip you, but the kid had no idea. Any time the door was answered by a kid, you knew you weren't getting a tip. The best tips always came from people who had waited tables or worked as pizza drivers themselves.
I did get a great tip once from a bunch of suits who were having a mid-day party in a townhouse. Probably expensed to the company...
