And quite a bit of religion isn't organized at all, just individual belief.
While you may consider something "dogma", others may be just fine with it.
If we don't learn to tolerate our differences, then you're correct, human beings will never stop fighting.
I feel that for some, organized religion is just a straw man they beat when they feel the need.
The differences between all the sects and faiths are way too many to list here, keep that in mind before you preemptively consider all religion "divisive".
