And you have an odd view of Congress if you think that the Senate, in Democratic hands, would choose to convict by a 2/3 vote after the House impeaches, which I grant you is a possibility--although with mixed feelings on both sides of the aisle over universal surveillance that is not a slam dunk. Two-thirds of the Senate can't even agree that the sky is blue. Furthermore, if the King of the Forest got on the airwaves and claimed to be protecting the people's rights not to have government sticking their noses in everywhere, do you seriously think that would be an unpopular position?

And spare me that my wish list is being done. Liar Clapper is going to appoint an independent commission? Puhleeze.
