I hate what is happening to my country, and I want the truth. But if deep down inside themselves Assange and Greenwald think its necessary to break eggs to make an omelet, they can go to hell.
About my country and its intelligence/spy agencies -- I want the truth. "Transparency" we won't get, not in this lifetime, but the current situation is not good and needs to change. We deserve more truth than we've been getting.
I loved the way Kurt Eichenwald framed the NSA scandal on MSNBC today. If people see something and scream "It's a Monster!!1!" the internet and the media explode. Someone else comes along and says, "That's not a monster, it's a bear," but that doesn't gain any traction. They take a closer look and say, "It's a bear in a cage," but that observation is a complete non-story. The internet continues to explode with "It's a Monster!"
After the interview I decided to look up Eichenwald's June 14 article in Vanity Fair: PRISM Isnt Data Mining and Other Falsehoods in the N.S.A. Scandal

Should make for interesting reading.
