22. Regarding Okinawa

I'd bet any amount of money that the bastards who beat this man to death don't know a single thing about the terror this man very likely experienced while fighting for his country on Okinawa. I can only understand it dimly, academically. And it was horrible for all involved--US military, Japanese military, and Japanese citizens. My wish for these cretins is that they be forced to read all about what happened on Okinawa, that they be compelled to learn about the man they murdered and what he did for his country, even though he was almost almost certainly more terrified than most of us can imagine. And I'd like for them to do this reading while they're serving life sentences.
