The senseless violence is making me cry. [View all]

I've shed many tears over Trayvon Martin, and started a thread about it asking DUers to check in if they were white and thought Zimmerman should have been convicted. I put it that way because the media was portraying it as if only blacks cared or disagreed with the verdict. I am proud to say that it received over 400 recs, but did nothing to make anyone feel better.

Now I am in tears about the Australian jogger who was shot for no reason. Today I read about the WWII vet who was beaten to death for no reason. Senseless, horrific violence.

There is something wrong with our culture, and it is getting to me tonight. I'm usually not this emotional, but I may have just reached a tipping point of sorts.

Anyone else?
