(6,419 posts)39. Given that I've never seen or heard VOA when I turn on the TV or radio in the USA
it doesn't really bother me too much. The article says the change in rules is so they can broadcast in the Somali language to Somalis in the USA. It's not really comparable to state-controlled media, and in fact I'm surprised it got by the English-only crowd (which makes it a bit progressive in that way).
