15. many years ago I was told that the reason car dealerships are closed on Sundays

by law was to give the salesman a day off.
Since most of them are on (or used to be) straight commission if the dealership was open, then the sales force was there.
And if Bob opened on Sunday, then of course Dick and Bill and everyone else would be too.
Never checked to see if it were true, but if I were working a job like that I would probably never leave either.
