(135,425 posts)So that makes you wonder if he'd visited the Russian consulate before his latest trip...you know, to get a list of stuff to steal or something....?
It's a fair supposition, given that he never admitted doing "business" with the Russians in Hong Kong at all. He acted like it was a big surprise that he was "stuck in the airport" yet no one ever saw him there.
Frankly, it looks SUSPICIOUS, like it, or not. It also makes me wonder if a lot of these "little guy" countries "stepped up," knowing that they'd never have to make good on their offer, because Cuba had no intention of playing ball. Cuba clearly clued in their gas station, Venezuela, because they shut up about that offer pretty quick.
And Ecuador....? Gotta wonder if they played both ends against the middle!
