It doesn't say that between the rehearsals and the performance, someone told the eagle the Parable of the 900 Foot Jesus. The poor beast decided to escape the lunacy.

As the late great Sam Kinison once said, "yeah, right, Oral, take your medicine and you'll stop seeing these nine hundred foot Jesuses."
