my 80 year old mother wanted me to get both my boys (as well as their sisters) vaccinated against HPV.

I'll be getting the shingles vaccine, but my sister's had shingles twice (that can happen!)

My husband got shingles before age 60; the doc had him come in for the vax when he got better

You can get shingles more than once, so the vaccine is probably a good idea for you, too.

Same here. I managed to get it at the same time I got Mono. I was pretty sick.

I am 40 and I had it too -- plus boosters for overseas travel in my late 20s -- vaccines are good!
