13. Of course it doesn't much matter what people in the rest of the world think

It doesn't matter all that much what US citizens think either. Most other governments in the developed world are fine with what the US does, because who else is going to do those things in today's reality? The governments that don't like it, aren't going to do much about it, since the US will face no economic sanctions or military retaliations from any of the major governments around the world for anything that the US may do.

The US military was the last one standing after the 20th century, and created the basics of whatever international system exists today. What people around the world think is irrelevant.
