So, I really do hope the strikes are just a pinprick.

I'm completely against any strikes at all, "pinprick" or otherwise. I think that it's utterly daft to believe that ANY kind of military action on the part of the U.S. will not worsen the situation all around. And I do mean ALL around - globally and domestically, not just in Syria, and not just in the region.
