In reply to the discussion: So Tim Tebow is a failure. There IS justice in the Universe after all... What should he do? [View all]cherokeeprogressive
(24,853 posts)27. Point made.
I guess I was trying to say... oh hell, I forgot what I was trying to say.
He worked his ass off. He did good. God didn't get him to where he was, he did. Maybe it wasn't good enough, but he tried, and he tried hard. That's gotta be worth something no matter what he believes in and should shine brighter than the hatred for those beliefs. I just don't like the victory dance at someone's failure, when others succeed simply because of their name.
I believe there's a... something. A "higher power". It doesn't affect my day to day actions nor do I attribute my successes or failures to that belief, but it's there. My failures are mine. My success are mine. The lottery numbers...? They'll come. I know it.

OP
If they were real Patriots, they would have released Tebow into Boston Harbor.

I don't know. Didn't Doug Flutie pretty much come to own the CFL record books?

NO. That's not it at all. My post wasn't about WHY he got released, it's about why

I'll bet no one typing away on an Internet forum is going to accomplish what Tebow did.

I think you don't understand why he is disliked for his actions and beliefs.
