5. It was alligator season here and other southern states.

Usually a very short season of a week, with an incredible long list of rules and regulations dictating how the gator is to be hunted, captured and dispatched.
In the South, the alligator is a protected by Federal law, but no longer on the Endangered Species List.


Having said all that, I am not a fervent supporter of hunting
but
givent that so many people are, I think it is a good thing to have such a limited season and so many restrictions.
