Democrat? Vote in Mich. primary 2/28/12, for Santorum; to discredit Romney in his home state [View all]

Michigan has an "open primary"; that is, Democrats can vote in the Republican primary.

So what is the best way for Democrats to manipulate the Republican primary? Nearly all the commentators are saying that Democrats should vote for Santorum.

Why? Because a win for Santorum 1) discredits Romney, in his own state.

And then too? 2) If Santorum goes on to take the nomination, and become his party's candidate? Santorum appears to be very weak against Obama. Weaker than Romney.
