(23,272 posts)I've purposefully avoided this thread because I have a very limited amount of time today to post. I've got to be out the door within the next 5 minutes and wanted to spend more of my time online today debating the Syria issue than Femen.
So I'll say from the first I'll probably only make this one post, and then the inevitable onslaught will have to continue without me. As this thread has already gotten large, its going to be impossible later - if I do have time - to get back on and answer everyone about this. So by that point I'll most likely ignore it and keep going on Syria. So with that said...
I believe I've respectfully disagreed with most of you about Femen. I'm pretty sure I never mocked anyone NOR did I belittle your positions.
As far as this movie, and the guy behind Femen - honestly, I'd really like to get more info. What's presented is ugly for sure. But how do we know this is the truth? Many "documentaries" purport to be truth but as we know "facts" can be relevant and spun very easily. The OP itself is an opinion piece with even her headline a speculation. That's not very persuasive. None of us have seen the documentary so it seems premature to say its all "true".
My positions about Femen and their actions have been laid out ad nauseum in other threads about Femen. I truly don't have time to do battle (again and for the 20th time) on their techniques.
