A few years ago, there was some interest on the Republican side in eliminating the natural-born citizen requirement so that Schwarzenegger could run. One idea that was floated was that Democrats might join in the effort because it would also make Granholm eligible.

These days, of course, Schwarzenegger isn't generating any buzz, so the idea is probably dead.
