Last time we were told that the cost to us in blood, time, and money would be negligible, but we know it was not. This time we are being told almost the exact same thing. We were also told last time that there was an urgency and a threat. We did not need to go there and did not need to sacrifice what we did. This time we are being told there is a similar urgency. We don't need to be there. A couple of our "allies" want to overthrow Assad. That is no reason for us to risk our ass and kill unknown numbers of Syrians.
Last time... We didn't need to be there.
This time... We sure as hell don't need to be there.
