Howard Dean says Syria resolution would not pass Congress today: http://bit.ly/15G2MK1

___ Howard Dean said Thursday that, at the moment, President Barack Obama does not have the votes in Congress to pass a resolution authorizing military action in Syria.

"I think if the vote were held today, the president would not get his way," the former Vermont governor and 2004 Democratic presidential candidate said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

Dean, who is in favor of limited military action in Syria, told The Huffington Post earlier this week that he doesn't believe Obama will be damaged politically if Congress rejects the resolution.

TPM is tracking where each member of Congress stands on the Syria resolution.
