21. Hopefully the workers will wake up before they are driven into poverty.

Unfortunately, millions of workers bought the Plutocrats propaganda hook, line and sinker. I watched as younger workers refused to join the union and supported so-called "Right to Work Laws" that were nothing more than union busting tactics. When 36 % of the labor force belonged and supported unions, they had a powerful voice in the halls of Congress. Today they have virtually no effective influence. In the vacuum, the corporate managers not only owed the politicians, their lobbyist actually wrote the legislation that they didn't even bother to read.

I feel for the plight of the American workers, however, their own greed and ignorance allowed the corporations to effectively destroy the Fair Deal policies that created the Middle Class. The result has been dramatic. Their jobs have been outsourced, health care and pensions down the drain. What I find ironic is that Fire Fighter and Police, who have overwhelmingly supported the Republican Party have seen the GOP turn on them in their determination to break the unions. I can't help not to think of the WWII minister who said to the effect that when Nazis attack various groups he wasn't concerned until it was too late and they came for him.
