Of course the Syrian war has nothing to do with the Saudi Peace Plan, which to my mind is a lovely piece of paper but isn't likely to influence any situation. The Palestinians are fucked and Kerry's theatrics are, like, zero on the event horizon - and he knows it. He's not an "honest broker" there, either.

But that's about the Saudi Peace Plan, Violet, not about the House of al Saud, or about how the House of al Saud along with the whoever emir of Qatar for a time has fronted for the USA in this so-called "Syrian civil war". I *don't* have to explain about "Friends of Syria", or the entire history - because you're well read.

I'm not a black 'n whiter. I'm a particularizer, and I try to be a careful generalizer, and I think when the topic is as particular as this, a US run up to a bombing campaign in the middle of the aforementioned "Syrian civil war", it's fair for me to expect that any of my statements e.g. "standing foursquare alongside the Saudis" would be taken only in that particular sense.
