7. I've never understood why people thought the cold war could never come back

and i think at times, our nation has acted as though it couldnt come back - in the 1970s, it was considered that US involvemet in a mideast war could be WWIII. Now, it seems like we MUST be in a war there at all times, what are we, going on our 4th one there in 20 years?

in this article, putin is hinting at exactly that
