4. Actually, when I was a single female

many decades ago, doing laundry was a huge hassle. I didn't have a washer and drier in my apartment, and didn't even always have it in the building I lived in. Laundry was a relatively low priority, trust me. I did change my sheets more often than every three months, but it was no where near as often as once I had a washer and drier inside my living space.
