Morse and Giron had to know that the voters in their districts would be highly pissed off by yet more gun control, but they implemented it anyway. They were supposed to represent them, not Michael Bloomberg and the voters reminded them of that.

If the Democratic Party has any smarts, it will give up more gun control as a political goal. If not, expect more of this, at least in large parts of the country.
