(75,480 posts)31. I know what Thom Hatmann said and he was trying to make a point that
the original concept came out of the American Revolution. However, the concept was taken up by right wingers along with city on the hill and other patriotic buzz phrases and twisted to fit their purposes. The Heritage Foundation website has many articles on it. Go there and look at them.
