In the clip I watched he mentioned some names. Hardly a "promotion".

As I see it, the group is more aimed at moderates in both establishment parties than the left. Obama, rather than Nader, would be a better fit with them.

...on earth would he mention them if he isn't promoting them?

Also, you seem to misunderstand the site. The group is not pushing Obama or Sanders, their names are on the list and visitors selected them.
