to comprehend that we were about to commit another unilateral war of aggression against a sovereign nation. That was derailed, first by the stunning defeat of Cameron in parliament, then by the astounding opposition of the American people, and then finally, for now, by the Putin initiative.

Peace won, for now, but yes the civil war continues.
