Canada does not have nuclear weapons.
Canada and the US have the world's largest trading relationship
Prime Minister Stephen Harper, in a statement congratulating Barack Obama on his inauguration, stated that "The United States remains Canadas most important ally, closest friend and largest trading partner and I look forward to working with President Obama and his administration as we build on this special relationship."[112]
President Barack Obama, speaking in Ottawa, Ontario at his first official international visit in February 19, 2009, said, "I love this country. We could not have a better friend and ally."[113]
