137. my well endowed 12 yr old niece was out to dinner with one of my friends and a friend of hers.

they were telling me that the over 40 yr old waiter went to pour her water and rub his crotch on her arm, suggestively.

asking what they did??? i was so angry.

my friend said they did nothing. that she was afraid to speak up. that they would have to go in parking lot after and the car was parked on the side of building.

i went after her, and made it clear to those two girls. do you think i would have stayed quiet? do you think i would have worried about embarrassing the man, embarrassing myself, or embarrassing the girls? there were so many options, and lowering eyes was the LEAST of those options. how dare my friend teach my niece and her friend to submit.

it was an opportunity to a listen to NEVER allow a man to denigrate her, and she take it. that her voice was her right. an obligation to speak out, to stop a predator so he did not do that to another girl.

and it was the adults responsibility to teach the girls. she failed.

i listed out the many options they had. staying quiet was not on that list.


so, fuck the dude and his friend. though embarrassed, you gave your niece the best of gifts. and example of voice.
