I'm sincere that K&R'ing the Help a DUer OPs and providing feedback is a LOT of help. It's truly priceless.
Yeah, when I realized yesterday (duh, me) that the third option could work out really well -- for everyone, including me -- I've been keeping my fingers crossed that a DUer who is online on a regular basis will step forward to offer to host such a group -- and then ask admins for permission.
If I had someone to help here at DU -- with the DUers who are in need of help (and those offering help in various ways) -- it would free me up to focus on implementing some of the technical changes and outreach to a larger audience.
I need more feedback in this thread before doing anything, but even if I end up being the one to ask about such a group in AtA, having a dedicated space here at DU to gather and lend support to one another, rather than waiting on me to post the periodic OPs in GD, could help everyone.
Duh, me, #2: If a subgroup can't be created here at DU, I can create a separate category specifically for DUers in the Wishlist. That way, people can peruse that category and know everyone there is a DUer.
Lots of options in going forward.
