I jumped back at the phrases too, but I know quite a few Indians (yes, Indians) who grin at the pc concerns of people who don't actually go on and get involved in any way with Indian life and bring their own opinions to bear in a thoughtful way. I've been struggling with this on DU lately, the tendency to clutch the pearls (yeah, but it's such a perfect description) and name call and alert rather than invite dialogue. And when I do, they generally don't honor me with a response.
So THANKS for that. I may meander over and see if a good talk ensues.
