point one of differing... Were people trapped in enclosed spaces(elevators) in high temperatures, for extended periods of time, without warning? If so, I would say that the people were put in harms way. Not the populace as a whole, but I still think it would qualify, and any injury or illness should be on the heads of those who made the choice.
Second point of differing.. By what Ive read, It sounds like this was primarily reported locally as a accidental/unpreventable outage. The remarks re the nature of the event(ie "teaching a lesson"
do not seem to have made major news locally. Perhaps I am wrong, and you can correct me on that. But assuming that I am correct in this, Why would people get pissed off about an unpreventable accident.. Change the context, and you might change the response.
