How about the school bus then?
We have laws that prohibit the very young from driving cars because we know that children and early adolescents do not have the maturity to make the decisions that drivers have to make.
We should have similar laws about the handling of guns. Children do not have the maturity, the understanding, to handle a gun or a car. It's just a developmental fact.
Allowing a child under the age of 16 to handle or have a gun is child endangerment pure and simple. It should be illegal.
