That's a majority of the rifles made today.

Off the top of my head, that's the first thing that came to mind. Not national, but California tends to lead in gun control proposals, so smart interested parties tend to watch California to see what's likely coming down the pike.

eta: Looked it up, Senate Bill 374, rifles.
