38. I feel your pain.

I have noticed that to a person, everyone of these individuals get their info from Fox News. They are also quick to post their "Christian" values for all the see and admire. I do not engage them anymore, although I used to, because it is futile and a waste of my time to try to reason with members of a cult, and that's what they are.

I do post factual info from trusted liberal sources (like DU!), and I tell them that while they're entitled to their own opinions, they're not entitled to their own facts. I also report their racist posts. Other than that, I pretty much leave them to simmer in their own ignorance.

At my age, I no longer want or need their approval, so it's easier to just let them be. If they have some redeeming value as friends, I agree to disagree. If not, I delete them. No sense in keeping toxic people around.
