There is some evidence of a shift away from keeping same-sex marriages illegal.

I'm not exactly sure what kind of exemption they are looking for as far as businesses and individuals. The first part of it seems straightforward enough - Mormons don't want to be required to perform marriages for same sex couples. I guess this is so that a cake shop can refuse to make a wedding cake for a gay marriage? Or a dress/tuxedo place could do the same? Problematic.

Full disclosure, I am an active member of the Mormon Faith.
