leaving the workforce to homeschool? And you cannot expect that all parents (mother or father) are capable of providing their children with a thorough enough education. You must first have parents who themselves have received a decent education in order for them to be able to homeschool theird children. And what about the nuts who don't believe in science and are only interested in teaching a bibical based education?

Last but not least, I caught an episode of Wife Swap where one couple viewed school as a form of prison and their idea of homeschooling was to let their children figure out what they wanted to learn. The daughter was slowly teaching herself to read and you could tell that she was way behind the reading level that she should have been at for her age. Even if a child has no desire to go to college, he/she should have at least have an adequate baseline of education before they go out in the real world.
