The aspects you discussed in this thread is what it's really about: Expanding the system of parallel courts, staffed by corporations, that is entirely removed from the democratic process. The TPP takes this a step further as it is much broader than NAFTAish constructs and will be used to attack all kinds of governmental regulations that our corporate overlord want to abolish (all regulations)
This is the shape of things to come. They want a world in which they are absolutely immune from whatever happens at the ballot box. "They" are not just Americans.
