"The caricature that BOGers wanted to attack Syria, for instance, wasn't supported by the opinion polling of whether we should do anything in Syria. Yet the BOGers got misrepresented as supporting that regularly. And the people who were oh so sure that Syria was going to be on the receiving end of a cruise missile? Well they slunk away and we all forgot about 'em. Yet the narrative sits in the back of peoples' minds. Trying to convince people Obama is a MIC-indebted warmonger."

There was never any "caricature about BOGers", but there certainly were posts by habituates of the BOG that presented a solid Obama-Kerry front. That cannot be denied.
When Russia, Iran and Syria, with China and India looking on, invented a solution, public opinion in the US and across the world couldn't be gainsaid. There was public agreement to a solution that did not include escalation of the US/Syria war.
I'm happy with that.
But now if BOGers purport that this later situation is what they meant to support all along, when they were baying for war like Kerry - that is a 100% lie.
