11. I've been doing this online thing a long time now

The single biggest lesson I've learned is that communication is remarkably difficult and anything you say or write can and will be misconstrued in the most negative possible manner by someone at some point.

I had it done to me in real life yesterday in fact, I was trying to defuse a situation and just made it worse, better to have kept my mouth shut.
