.........My reaction was somewhat similar to the words that you have written. She was somewhat self congratulatory upon announcing that she had scored an interview with someone from the "other side". That person turned out to be an analyst of some importance for the Repuke party who was invited to comment on the bitter infighting currently going on within that party. But in the midst of the analyst's commentary, they managed to throw in the "fact" that most of the American public is against the Managed Health Care Act. And that lie was never even challenged by Rachel. Instead, she thanked the analyst for their contribution to the segment.
That's how the right wing is working to sabotage the Managed Health Care Act. They are working to convince the American public that if they are positive about the Act, then they are not on the majority side. And everyone in America knows that the majority is always right. 
The purpose of that "Ha, Ha Look At How Bad Your Party Is Blowing It" segment on that night's show, paled in comparison with the much larger and more important issue of the success of the Managed Health Care Act for our nation, and Rachel just let it blow by, without any challenge at all. 
Please don't think my comment to be off topic. When I read your words, I was immediately reminded of my having felt the same way as what you wrote, only a few nights earlier.
