3. about a year ago, while on MIRT, I opened a link--screen went black

even though I had both PCTools and AVG running. MIRT had received an alert that some found malware on what should have been a reputable site. I thought I was sufficiently protected and should look at it, per MIRT. $200 later, I got my computer back, but it never worked quite right again.

So, open at your own risk. I've been burned enough not to ignore warnings.
