17. Rove went "deeper not wider" to get W. votes

and now that they have abandoned the middle they can't win them back easily.

Now they need to go even deeper for votes, and they just aren't there. Their party is now suffering the inevitable downfall of the flawed and shortsighted tactics known as "Rovian politics".

The same way they run up the debt without any clue how to ever pay it off, they now have a credibility debt with swing voters and they have no way to pay that off either. They just keep digging deeper and deeper until there is no way out.

With any luck we can hand them their asses this November and cause a real break in the party. They will all turn on each other and blame the other factions for the loss. The Republican party is broken and needs to be shattered before it can be rebuilt.
